The Federal Way Day Center
The Federal Way Day Center is a place where the homeless and those in need can take a shower, do their laundry, make a meal and have a safe environment to rest. There are computers and phones to connect with job searches, appointments, and families. Counseling is available for substance abuse and mental health. Case and Program manager assist in finding shelter and other needs. The mobile medical van visits once a month. The Federal Way Day Center is located next to the Federal Way Multi Service Center and Healthpoint for additional resources.
volunteer needs: Catholic Community Services is seeking volunteers who are interested in serving alongside individuals who visit the Federal Way Day Center. Volunteers would be involved in monitoring the laundry machines and use of the showers. Volunteers would also be present in the kitchen area to assist as needed and a general warm and welcoming presence to all who enter. All volunteers would be under the direct supervision of CCS staff and receive orientation and ongoing training. An application and background check are required. The hours of the Federal Way Day Center are Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Volunteer shifts are 9:30-12:30 or 12:30-3:30. If you have any questions or are interested in serving, please contact...
