A Word from the Director and Founder

I have a deep respect for those who work at making our communities healthier and I wanted to help them all! There is a great need... you can see it, feel it as you look around. In the words of Matthew 9:37 "The harvest is great but the workers are few" And as much as I love volunteering I can not volunteer everywhere I would love to, as every organization on here touches my heart.
BUT what I can do is make it easier for many people like yourself who want to make a difference but do not necessarily know where to look. All of the organizations on this site are organizations that are helping our neighbors with services they desperately need.

And now you have an opportunity to be a part of it! I am so excited for you to find somewhere you can make a positive impact in your community and meet some new friends who share the same heart to help!

Our Mission is to strengthen existing non profits that are on the front lines working to make our communities healthier by helping those in need.
To help you find a place to use your talent, gift, skill or passion.
And of course show the love and compassion of Jesus.

We believe that there is so much more to volunteering than what we traditionally think of. Can you use your love of carpentry to volunteer? Yes! Can you volunteer and use your passion for organizing? Yes! We are continually adding new opportunities where you can use your time and talents so if you do not see anything that sparks your interest, please check back!
Our challenge to you is to give at least 1 day a month to serve in your community.

WHAT WE DO
The Power of One Day is constantly seeking out new organizations that serve our communities. We meet with them, find out what their needs are and pass that information along to you through this website.
You can also request for us to come and speak at your church, business or club if you would like to learn more about the amazing opportunities we have in our communities. We love to get people excited to share their skills and talents!
We have lots of volunteer information in Puyallup and surrounding cities.
